Various exciting patriotic initiatives on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the April Uprising took place with the participation of students from Nesebar Municipality.

An open lesson was held in the "Sochi" Conference Center in Old Nesebar with students from the 3rd "d" and 4th "e" classes at the "Lyuben Karavelov" Secondary School - Nesebar. The students went back in time, passing through some of the hottest hotbeds of the April Uprising - Koprivshtitsa, Panagyurishte, Perushtitsa and Batak. In poems, songs, paintings and dramatizations of some of the events of April 20, 1876, the magnificent days of unquenched enthusiasm, patriotism and self-sacrifice came to life. The lesson on the topic "150 years of the April Epic" was also watched by the youngest students of the school in the Old Town, and the event was organized on the initiative of the "Yana Laskova" Community Center - Nesebar.

Today's day in "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" Primary School - Sveti Vlas passed under the sign of patriotism and adventure spirit. The anniversary of the April Uprising was celebrated not with traditional lessons, but with a real immersion in the era. Students from the 7th "b" class started with an impressive recital. Their performances recalled the testament of Benkovski and Volov, and the great emotion came with the interactive game, in which students from the 6th grade and their older classmates turned into direct participants in the uprising. "We remember the past to build the future!" - this was the message that united all participants in today's celebration of the anniversary in the school in Sveti Vlas.

Students from "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" Primary School - Ravda, touched one of the most significant events in Bulgarian history through various events. Students from the 6th "a" and 6th "b" classes took part in an interdisciplinary lesson on history and literature, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the April Uprising. The event included a short dramatization of Ivan Vazov's novel "Under the Yoke", a solemn speech on the significance of the April Uprising, and a thematic quiz. Two letters, written by students of "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" Primary School - Ravda, especially for the campaign "Words of Freedom" initiated by the Ministry of Education and Science, were also read. The aim of this initiative was to show the power of the word, as historically the preparation for the uprising was carried out through letters and exchange of messages.

An inspiring conversation with students from the 5th "a" and 5th "b" classes, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the April Uprising, was also held in "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" Primary School - Ravda. The aim was to introduce the children to one of the most significant events in Bulgarian history and to preserve the memory of the heroism of its participants. An educational quiz on the same topic, conducted through the "Learn, Play and Recognize" application, reinforced their knowledge in an interactive and fun way.

Students from the primary stage in the school in Ravda also participated in various initiatives on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the April Uprising: a poetic recital, presentation of presentations, exhibition boards of drawings, a sports competition "Brave Lion Cubs".

On this day one hundred and fifty years ago, through the feat of our ancestors, Bulgaria experienced its true rebirth, for which Vazov rightly wrote: „And in a few days secretly and slowly, the people grew up for several centuries!“.
