A man has been charged with deliberate murder in an especially cruel way in Sofia's Vrabnitsa district. Sofia City Prosecutor's Office has detained him for 72 hours.

The killing took place on 21 October at about 2.30am. According to the investigation, the accused struck another man many times on the body and head and deliberately caused his death.

The victim had a traumatic brain injury, many broken bones and bruises.

The next day, prosecutors will ask the court to hold the accused in custody.

In September, the same office detained a 21-year-old woman for 72 hours. She is charged with deliberate murder on 13 September in Sofia's Mladost district.
