Minister of Education and Science Prof. Georgi Valchev announced that the ministry will continue its policy of appointing school psychologists. Currently, there are over 1,700 specialists working within the education system, but the goal is to cover the entire school network in the country.

The statement was made during a meeting of the Committee on Education and Science in response to a question from Milena Vladkova of the "Progressive Bulgaria" parliamentary group regarding aggression among students. The Minister clarified that pedagogical specialists will also be relied upon to assist schools in preventing conflicts.

"We will also involve institutions because the problem of aggression is linked to both a lack of knowledge of the law and the issue of accountability—at what age this begins," Minister Valchev explained. He added that there are plans to bring in representatives from the prosecutor's office to explain the serious consequences of such behavior to students.

Well-known figures from Bulgarian cultural life will also participate in the educational initiatives. The goal is for them to help students understand that aggression is not a way to solve problems. The Minister emphasized that the ministry has the resources and approaches available to work with the families of children with recorded instances of aggression.

Prof. Valchev recalled that a national mobile team for psychological support is also operating under the Ministry of Education and Science, and efforts to address the root causes of aggression remain a constant priority in the ministry's policies.
