BNT will broadcast a special programme on the presidential and vice-presidential elections on Sunday, 25 October, on BNT 1, on bntnews.bg and on its other digital platforms, the broadcaster said. On election night, the running results will be projected as light onto the BNT building in central Sofia. BNT calls it "the biggest screen in Bulgaria".

Coverage starts at 06:55 and will run until the results are announced and politicians give their first reactions. It will include special studios, news bulletins and live links from Bulgaria and abroad, plus analysis and expert comment during the day. More than 40 BNT reporting teams will work in Bulgaria and abroad.

Hristina Hristova and Simeon Ivanov will host "Election Day" until 09:00, and Rumen Yovchev will read the news on the hour. Georgi Lyubenov will take over from 09:00 to 12:00. His guests will include journalists, political analysts and well-known figures. Reporters will join live from polling stations, and viewers will see the main presidential candidates cast their votes.

At 12:00, Nora Arsova presents a one-hour edition of "Around the World and at Home", summing up election day in Bulgaria and the world. From 15:20, in "The Choice: More from the Day", Poli Zlatareva will show unseen halls of power and untold stories from 2 Dondukov Street. Topics include how leaders are made, what is unknown about the head of state, how diplomacy works, who the builders of today's Bulgaria are, and how the virtual world affects reality.

Dobrina Cheshmedzhieva hosts "Your Voice" from 17:00 to 18:00, broadcasting from a studio in an arts space in central Sofia. Her guests will be young people, among them Bulgarians who have returned from abroad and foreigners who live in Bulgaria. They will talk about what they think, what they expect and what they dream of. From 20:00, the show continues on BNT's YouTube channel with comment on the first results. Viewers will be able to ask questions and give their views live through a special platform.

At 18:00, Filipa Ognyanova and Kostadin Filipov sum up the day so far in "Around the World and at Home". "Election Night" with Boyko Vasilev and Adelina Radeva starts at 18:50. Analysts and commentators will be in the studio, with the first reactions from politicians and a discussion of what the vote means. Projected results and winners will appear on screen in real time, in a modern design.

Stefan A. Shterev will present from a studio on the roof of the BNT building, one of the highest points in Sofia, in a role unusual for him. He will look at election day from a different angle.

Special envoys will be in Turkey, France and the UK, while BNT correspondents will join from the US, Belgium and Romania. Teams in Spain, Germany and the Netherlands will report on how Bulgarian communities there vote.
