Belitsa municipality has no acting mayor. Only mayor Radoslav Revanski, who has been charged and is now in Burgas, can sign the order to appoint one.
Officers from the organised crime unit GDBOP walked into the municipal building in Belitsa yesterday and detained Revanski. A day earlier, the same unit detained Dimitar Gavazov, an engineer and the mayor of Sungurlare municipality in Burgas region.

Early in the morning, the deputy mayors and the council's legal department discussed how the administration could work without a mayor. They found only one option: Revanski must sign the order himself.
Council staff must draw up the order later in the day and take it to Burgas. An acting mayor can be appointed only after Revanski signs it.
