Over 3,000 new jobs for young people under the "Youth Employment +" project
More than 3,128 jobs for young people aged up to 29 have been created through the "Youth Employment +" project (Component 2). The initiative, managed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy (MLSP), has marked significant success since the start of applications in February.
To date, over 2,500 contracts have been signed with employers totaling over 18 million euros, with the total support expected to reach at least 8,520 young people.
What opportunities does the program offer?
- Paid internships: An opportunity for the first steps in the labor market.
- On-the-job training: Gaining practical experience and new skills.
- Subsidized employment: Financial support for employers.
- Soft skills: Professional development courses.
The internships and training last for six months. An important element of the program is the commitment of employers to retain the employment of young people for at least another three months after the end of the subsidized period, during which time the state covers the social security contributions on their behalf.
