A car ran off the road and hit a road sign on Edirne Boulevard in Burgas, on the stretch that was recently resurfaced, minutes ago. The driver, a Burgas resident who looks about 40, has no serious injuries.

The man said his vision suddenly went dark and he does not remember how the crash happened. He lost control, and the car crossed the roadside strip and hit the sign.

The impact was hard and knocked the sign down. The car is badly damaged, and the driver is badly shaken.

A police patrol car and an ambulance crew are at the scene.

The stretch has heavy traffic and lies right next to the vegetable market and several industrial sites. No pedestrians or other people were near the car when it crashed.
