Plovdiv police are taking extensive preventive actions in connection with the upcoming football match between the local team Lokomotiv and the capital's CSKA, which will be held on August 2 at 19:00 hours at the city stadium.

A specially formed staff from the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior will carry out a large-scale security operation. It will include employees from district police stations, as well as specialized units from the "Gendarmerie" Directorate.

The main goal of the police intervention is to fully guarantee public order and prevent potential anti-social manifestations. Increased police presence is planned around the sports facility and throughout the city of Plovdiv.

In connection with the event organization, temporary restrictions on vehicle movement are planned. Between 17:00 and 22:00 hours, passage will be prohibited on certain street sections, including sections of Lev Tolstoy, Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov, and Dimitar Rizov streets.

A special route and parking plan has been developed for visiting supporters. They will be met at a designated parking lot outside the center and escorted along a pre-established safe route.

According to an order by the Mayor of Plovdiv Municipality, alcohol sales will be suspended in the sports zone on the day of the match. Additional restrictions include preventing spectators under the influence of alcohol or intoxicating substances.

The police will apply modern technological surveillance methods, including video cameras and drones. All violators will be documented and subsequently sanctioned according to current legislation.

Underage viewers will have access to the stadium only when accompanied by adults, which further guarantees order and safety during the sporting event.
