For the ninth consecutive year, Mayor Dimitar Nikolov invites everyone who bears the name of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker for a golden photo on December 6th. This year it will take place at 12:15 p.m. in front of the Municipality on Atanas Sirekov Square.

The initiative is a preserved Burgas tradition, associated with Nikulden (St. Nicholas Day).

The golden photo will be sent to the State Archives - Burgas.

Before the photo, each person celebrating their name day will receive a sailor's scarf and a badge with the inscription “On Nikulden I have a name day”.

A copy of the photo can be picked up on December 9th from the booth of "Morski znatsi" (Sea Signs) in the Tourist Information Center.

This year there are 7,335 people celebrating their name day in the Municipality of Burgas, of whom 5,748 are in the city. The oldest is 97-year-old Nikita Zinovski, and the youngest - Nikolai Vasilev, born 2 days ago.
