On August 13, 2025, at the "Prosveta 1888" Community Center, an impressive musical concert dedicated to the richness of the Bulgarian compositional school will take place. The event brings together three talented musicians – Maria Tsvetkova-Madjarova (soprano), Yana Marinova (piano), and the fifteen-year-old Dimana Pancheva (violin).
The program includes works by classical Bulgarian composers such as Georgi Zlatev-Cherkin, Dobri Hristov, Marin Goleminov, and Lyubomir Pipkov, who masterfully recreate our folklore roots.
Among the performers with an impressive biography is the pianist Yana Marinova from Burgas. Her musical education took place at the prestigious music academy in Frankfurt, where she specialized under Professor Eike Wernhard. She acquired her additional qualification as a répétiteur in the master class of Eugen Wangler.
Marinova has extensive professional experience, participating in numerous opera projects across Germany – in Frankfurt, Giessen, and the opera festivals in Bad Vilbel and Bad Hersfeld. Currently, she teaches piano in Frankfurt and actively performs in Bulgaria and Germany.
Another key figure is the soprano Maria Tsvetkova-Madjarova, a graduate of the State Musical Academy in Sofia. Her career includes solo performances in the operas of Ruse and Burgas, as well as guest appearances on leading national stages.
Tsvetkova-Madjarova is a recognizable voice in international musical circles, realizing prestigious projects in numerous European countries such as Italy, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, and Portugal, as well as in the USA.
Among her professional distinctions are the "Crystal Lyre" for 2015 and the title "Musician of the Year" for 2017 from the "Allegro Vivace" program on the "Horizont" channel of BNR.
A young hope in the program is the fifteen-year-old violinist Dimana Pancheva, a student at the Pancho Vladigerov Secondary Music School in Burgas. She will perform "Sevdana" by Georgi Zlatev-Cherkin, accompanied by Yana Marinova.
An interesting fact is that the identical program will also be presented in Frankfurt on September 13, by initiative of the Bulgarian-German society "Impulse" and with the support of the Bulgarian Consulate General.
