Russia modernizes "shahed" drones with phosphorus munitions

In the Oryol region, a delivery of an experimental batch of "Shahed" type strike drones has been registered, which are equipped with ammunition containing white phosphorus. This highly flammable and extremely dangerous material is characterized by its ability to adhere to skin and clothing, causing severe burns and destroying all living things in its path.

According to information provided by the online media TSN, the Russian army has taken steps to modernize these drones. The new modifications include the addition of combined effect warheads that combine incendiary and cumulative elements. These new warheads weigh approximately 90 kilograms and are designed to significantly increase both the fire and destructive effect of the strikes.

The launch complex located in the Oryol region, which has already been used in previous attacks, is now being actively used to launch these new modifications of kamikaze drones. This development shows that Russia continues to expand and improve its arsenal of unmanned aerial vehicles.

Experts note that the use of phosphorus munitions is particularly concerning, as they are known for their extreme cruelty and potential to cause mass destruction and long-lasting suffering.
