Burgas: Construction works on road I-9, traffic restrictions

Burgas Municipality informs its citizens about upcoming construction and assembly activities that will affect a key road section in the region. According to an official announcement published by the municipal administration, these activities are planned for two consecutive days – 09.10.2025 and 10.10.2025, Thursday and Friday, and will be carried out during the working day, from 09:00 to 16:00.

The construction works will concentrate in the median strip of the strategic road I-9, connecting Burgas with Varna. The affected section includes the areas around the road junctions "Sarafovo" and "Kableshkovo", with the activities being carried out in the direction of traffic from Burgas to Pomorie.

To ensure safety during these activities, the narrowing of the roadway is planned. This necessitates a change in the organization of traffic, as traffic in this critical section will be directed in one lane. Burgas Municipality appeals to all vehicle drivers to exercise increased caution and to strictly comply with the introduced temporary traffic organization. Compliance with traffic rules in this section is of utmost importance for ensuring the safety of all road users and for minimizing potential inconveniences. Drivers are urged to be patient and to plan their routes in view of the temporary restrictions.
