For another year, Burgas will host the Global Game Jam, the world event for creating games. The forum will be held in two days - January 30 and February 1 at the Regional Library "Peyo Yavorov", according to a message from the organizers from BurgasLab.

Burgas Game Jam is the local edition of the global marathon, in which participants have 48 hours to create a prototype of a video or board game on a given secret theme. In 2023, the event was held in Burgas for the seventh time. Then, for the first time, the opportunity was given to students aged 16-17, with the written consent of their parents. The "Robopartans" robotics school also participated, presenting educational robots from Lego.

The theme of the hackathon will be the same for the whole world and will be announced at the beginning of the event. The program in Burgas provides for the formation of teams on January 30, followed by intensive work on the design, mechanics and vision of the games during the Saturday.

On Sunday afternoon, the final submission of the projects and their official presentation to the public is planned. The event is open to programmers, artists, screenwriters and musicians, including professionals from the IT sector, students.
