On August 2, 2025 at 20:30, classical music fans will have the exceptional opportunity to immerse themselves in the emotional world of the opera "Il Trovatore" – one of Giuseppe Verdi's most remarkable works, which will be performed on an open stage in Beglikstash.

The musical event is part of the sixth edition of the "Opera of the Sanctuary" festival, jointly organized by the State Opera - Burgas and the Municipality of Primorsko. Under the direction of Prof. Dr. Ivaylo Krinchev – chief conductor of the State Opera - Stara Zagora and lecturer at the Pancho Vladigerov National Music Academy, the production promises to be a true artistic experience.

In the central role of the troubadour Manrico will be the exceptional tenor Kostadin Andreev – soloist of the Sofia Opera and Ballet, who has already impressed the audience with his performance in the previous production "Samson and Delilah". His interpretation is expected to be emotionally intense and vocally impeccable.

Soprano Maria Tsvetkova-Madjarova will recreate the image of the tender Leonora, whose role seems to be written specifically for her vocal abilities. The legendary Bulgarian mezzo-soprano Daniela Dyakova will take on the characteristic role of the gypsy Azucena, one of the most memorable characters in the opera.

The dramatic story follows the complex relationships between Manrico, his adoptive mother Azucena, the Count, and his rival, intertwining motifs of love, revenge, and fate. Alexander Krunev will play the role of Count di Luna, and bass Kostadin Mechkov will present the character of Ferrando – a key narrator in the storyline.

Additional participants in the production include Lina Peeva as Ines, Milen Dinolov as Ruiz, Nikolay Nikolov as Old Gypsy, and Valyu Totev as the Messenger. Choir conductor is Alexander Chepanov, and ballet repetiteur is Marina Zmeyeva-Markova.

The next title in the festival program will be the opera "Rigoletto" on August 9 at 20:30, again under the leadership of Ivaylo Krinchev. Tickets can be purchased from the Opera box office, "Chasovnika" box office, Primorsko Tourist Information Center, as well as online networks Grabo and Eventim.
