The Central Election Commission (CEC) is one of the institutions that form the basis of the democratic processes in the country. This was stated by Vice President Iliana Iotova at the beginning of the official consultations with the parliamentary-represented political forces in the 52nd National Assembly.

"The CEC is a guarantor of the honesty and legitimacy of the vote of Bulgarian citizens," emphasized Iotova.
