Consultations for a new composition of the CEC
The Central Election Commission (CEC) is one of the institutions that form the basis of the democratic processes in the country. This was stated by Vice President Iliana Iotova at the beginning of the official consultations with the parliamentary-represented political forces in the 52nd National Assembly.
"The CEC is a guarantor of the honesty and legitimacy of the vote of Bulgarian citizens," emphasized Iotova.
Within the framework of the talks at "Dondukov" 2, the political formations will present their proposals for members of the commission. The main highlights of the meeting include:
- Ensuring a transparent electoral process.
- Coordinating actions between institutions.
- Adherence to the legal deadlines for the election of a new composition.
It is expected that after the finalization of the consultations, the nominations for the composition of the CEC will be formed, which will play a key role in the future preparation of the elections.
